India launches vision screening program for children in juvenile homes

The Indian Vision Institute (IVI) has launched a vision screening initiative for children in juvenile homes in Tamil Nadu. This program, supported by Aspire Systems, aims to help over 2,000 children in 30 homes. The initiative provides free eye screenings, corrective glasses, and referrals for further treatment if needed. The campaign was inaugurated by Santosh Kumar, Inspector-General of Tamil Nadu Police. IVI focuses on reducing preventable vision impairment and improving eye health in India.
