The Indian government has created approximately 1.4 million Ayushman Vay Vandana cards for senior citizens aged 70 and above. This initiative, part of the expanded Ayushman Bharat scheme, offers free treatment benefits regardless of socio-economic status. Eligible seniors can access cashless healthcare for 1,961 procedures across 27 specialties, including surgeries and treatments for various medical conditions.
