India builds counter-drone capabilities with Bhargavastra, Indrajaal, and D4

India is rapidly developing indigenous counter-drone systems, including Bhargavastra and Indrajaal, to counter hostile UAVs and drone swarms, strengthening its ability to manage evolving aerial threats. Counter-drone methods include soft-kill jamming and hard-kill destruction. Bhargavastra uses micro-missiles, Indrajaal adds AI and interceptor drones, and BEL's D4 combines radar, jammers, and lasers; D4 is operationally deployed. DRDO's UAV-Launched Precision Guided Munition, still under development with Adani and BDL, can engage drones. These indigenous systems mirror Western advances, helping India keep pace in counter-drone warfare.
