India appoints Vaibhav Chaturvedi as RBI representative on IBBI board
The Indian government has appointed Vaibhav Chaturvedi, Chief General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), as an ex-officio member of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). This appointment was announced on December 3. Chaturvedi will represent the RBI on the IBBI board, which oversees the implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code established in 2016. His role aims to enhance transparency in the insolvency resolution process. This appointment highlights the RBI's ongoing involvement in the insolvency ecosystem, working alongside other regulatory bodies like the Ministry of Finance and Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
