India and Thailand discuss food processing trade in Lucknow

India and Thailand held a business dialogue in Lucknow on Monday to explore expanding trade and investment in the food processing sector, with a focus on market access and Halal products. The Thai delegation, led by Paiyada Hanchasiksakul and including the Thai Trade Centre and National Food Institute, met with Uttar Pradesh companies in food processing, agribusiness, and retail. Discussions centered on Indian consumer preferences, growing demand for processed foods, and opportunities for Thai products. The meeting, led by CII's Sudeep Goenka, aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and help Thai representatives understand the Indian market while enabling UP businesses to explore engagement with Thailand.
