IMBA Theatre to open in December 2025 at Singapore

A new venue called IMBA Theatre will open in December 2025 at Gardens by the Bay. This theatre aims to provide large-scale, immersive experiences to visitors. IMBA Theatre will feature a black box theatre, a gallery space, and various retail and dining options. It promises to use advanced digital media technology to create engaging environments. Visitors can enjoy interactive exhibitions, live performances, and cultural showcases. The venue will cover more than 20,000 square feet and will include a 12.5-meter-high projection wall, one of the tallest in Southeast Asia. The gallery space will be 12,500 square feet and will host a mix of traditional and modern art exhibitions. IMBA Theatre will kick off with "The Botero Show in Singapore," showcasing Colombian artist Fernando Botero's iconic sculptures. The theatre will also present works by local muralist Yip Yew Chong, known for his nostalgic depictions of traditional life in Singapore. Michael Lee, CEO of the group behind IMBA Theatre, explained that the venue is designed to inspire wonder and deepen connections between audiences and the arts. He added that the theatre focuses on blending technology, creativity, and storytelling to showcase both local and global talent, helping to solidify Singapore's status as a cultural hub.
