A new venue called IMBA Theatre will open in December 2025 at Gardens by the Bay. This location will feature a black box theatre, gallery space, and retail shops. The gallery space will be 12,500 square feet. Visitors can look forward to a mix of traditional and modern art displays. IMBA Theatre will debut with "The Botero Show In Singapore." This immersive experience will highlight Colombian artist Fernando Botero and his sculptures, which are seen around Singapore. There will also be works by muralist Yip Yew Chong, known for his murals depicting traditional life and jobs. The theatre will team up with Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design & Media to create engaging content for visitors. Michael Lee, CEO of H&B, the company managing IMBA Theatre, emphasized that the venue is meant to inspire audiences. He described it as a place that merges technology and creativity to foster a deeper connection with the arts. Lee views IMBA Theatre as a significant step in highlighting Singapore as a global cultural center.
