Ikea receives 800 applications for senior management roles at new New Zealand store

Ikea has received about 800 applications for senior management roles at its upcoming store in Sylvia Park, New Zealand. The store, set to open later this year, is part of a $407 million investment that includes hiring 400 staff. The recruitment process has exceeded expectations, with each of the 20 senior management positions attracting 700 to 800 applications. Mass recruitment for additional roles will begin in April, covering various departments. The new store will feature three levels, a ground-level car park, a Swedish restaurant, and showroom displays. It will also offer competitive benefits, including a living wage and five weeks of paid annual leave.
