IDFC FIRST Bank launches direct tax collection service in India

IDFC FIRST Bank has integrated with the Income Tax Portal to collect Direct Taxes for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in India. Customers can now pay taxes easily online or at bank branches using various payment methods. This new service allows for a more user-friendly experience, including downloadable challans and instant payment confirmations. Previously, IDFC FIRST Bank did not offer tax collection services, which are now available through its internet banking and branch channels. The bank is also working to introduce additional payment options, such as UPI and card payments, to enhance customer convenience.
