IDAC investigator tells Madlanga Commission crime intelligence files went to Johnson
The Madlanga Commission heard that sensitive crime intelligence files went directly to former IDAC head Andrea Johnson, as investigations head Matthews Sesoko testified about her conduct. Sesoko said certain matters, including crime intelligence cases, were deemed sensitive and could only reach Johnson's office. Johnson previously claimed operational decisions were handled by officials like Sesoko and Dylan Perumal, while witnesses cited communication failures and investigations proceeding without Sesoko's knowledge. The inquiry is also examining internal tensions, sensitive case management and reporting structures. Sesoko's testimony is expected to clarify leadership, oversight and decision-making inside the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption.
