IBM launches new quantum computing system in South Korea
IBM has announced the launch of its new cloud computing system, the "IBM Quantum System One," which will be based in Songdo, South Korea. This system will feature 127 qubits, significantly enhancing quantum computing capabilities. The new system aims to support various sectors, including education and research, by providing advanced quantum computing resources. This development marks a shift from previous systems, which had fewer qubits and limited applications. The IBM Quantum System One is expected to be operational by March 2025, with plans to integrate it into South Korea's national quantum computing strategy. This initiative reflects a growing focus on expanding quantum technology in the region.
