Ian Hamilton reflects on his eight years with guide dog Major

BBC Scotland reporter Ian Hamilton's guide dog, Major, has retired after eight years of service. Major, a Shepherd-Retriever, guided Hamilton through his work and daily life, proving to be a calm, focused, and reliable companion. He appeared in all 20 episodes of Hamilton's TV series, "My Kind of Town." Hamilton is now back on the waiting list for a new guide dog, which could take over a year, and is using a white cane in the interim.
