Hyundai Mobis starts PE system production in Slovakia to expand in Europe

Hyundai Mobis has begun mass production of PE (Power Electric) systems, known as the "heart of electric vehicles," at a new plant in Slovakia, marking its first such facility in Europe and accelerating its electrification push. The new plant in Novaky, Slovakia, spans 106,000 square meters and can produce up to 280,000 PE systems annually, integrating motors, inverters, and reducers. Hyundai Mobis invested approximately 250 billion won to establish this third European electrification base. The facility will supply key components to Hyundai, Kia, and global automakers, supporting Hyundai Mobis's goal of raising global customer sales to 40% by 2033. Slovakia hosts major automakers like Kia, Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Volvo.
