Hyderabad police arrest doctor, peddler; hunt kingpin

A Hyderabad-based doctor and a Mumbai drug peddler were arrested after police seized cocaine, leading to a search for the network's leader. The Cyberabad police apprehended the doctor, CEO of a hospital group, and the peddler on Thursday in Raidurgam, confiscating 53 grams of the drug. The peddler confessed to being a courier for the alleged kingpin, transporting drugs for commission. Authorities are investigating the doctor's year-long cocaine purchases from the kingpin, who used disappearing messages on WhatsApp. The accused face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
