Hyderabad Kirana Merchants Association will expel members found guilty of food adulteration and report them to H-FAST, while urging police not to target genuine traders during inspections. After an emergency meeting, the association cited adulteration cases in Mailardevpally, Katedan, Barkas and Balapur, and condemned polishing, artificial colouring and misbranding. It asked authorities not to target genuine traders in Begum Bazar during food safety drives. President Domadar Das Vijaywargiya said offenders face stringent action, including termination of membership. The association urged compliance with FSSAI rules and thanked H-FAST, GHMC officials for food safety awareness efforts.
