Hunterdon Central girls lacrosse team won sixth HWS title

Hunterdon Central defeated Sparta 13-6 to win its sixth consecutive Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex (HWS) girls lacrosse title on Saturday. Sophomore Leighton Gee's defensive strategy of face-guarding Sparta's star player, Uma Kowalski, limited her to a single goal, contributing significantly to Hunterdon Central's victory. The win marks their 12th HWS title since the tournament's inception. Hunterdon Central, ranked No. 10, is seeking its first sectional title after this dominant performance. The team's seniors have now won HWS titles in all four years of their high school careers.
