Huawei prepares to launch Mate XT2 tri-fold phone with upgraded camera and hinge

Huawei is reportedly preparing to launch a successor to its tri-fold phone, the Mate XT, later this year. The upcoming Mate XT2 is expected to feature the Kirin 9050 Pro chip and improved hinge technology to reduce the visible crease. It will likely have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 40MP ultra-wide sensor. This new device follows the original Mate XT, launched in September 2024, which was the first smartphone with a triple-foldable display.
