Houthi missile hits Riyadh airport, wounding dozens
Yemen's Houthi fighters attacked Riyadh's airport with a missile on Saturday, according to a diplomatic source, wounding dozens of people, mostly Saudi nationals, with at least five in intensive care. The attack follows a Thursday strike on the same airport that killed three people, including a pilot. Witnesses reported an explosion and people running, while authorities did not officially confirm the incident, and the Houthis did not immediately claim responsibility. The strikes are unprecedented in scale since the Middle East war began eight months ago. Saudi Arabia supports Yemeni government forces battling the Houthis, who control the Bab el-Mandeb strait. Germany, Canada, and Spain advised citizens against traveling through the airport.
