Houthi attack on Riyadh airport kills three, wounds several

diepresse.com (German) —

A Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed three people and wounded several others, some seriously, Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority said Friday. The first strike targeted airport facilities, while the second hit a Saudia airline plane. Airport operations have resumed, but Lufthansa has canceled flights to Riyadh until October 16. The Iran-aligned Houthis claimed responsibility. The group also said it attacked an airport in Najran and a base in Khamis Mushait, which Saudi authorities have not confirmed. This is the third airport attack this week, following earlier strikes that killed three people.
