blick.ch (German) —

A Houthi attack on Riyadh's airport on Thursday killed three people and injured several others, according to Saudi authorities, and also damaged a Saudia aircraft. The Iran-backed Houthi militia has targeted Saudi airports for days, with the King Khalid International Airport coming under fire. Social media showed an Airbus A320 apparently hit by a rocket, and flight operations were suspended for about two hours. A Houthi military spokesman claimed a ballistic missile precisely hit its target and urged airlines to avoid Saudi airspace. Lufthansa Group airlines, including Swiss and Edelweiss, have suspended flights to Riyadh until October 16.
