Hot air balloon crash in Valladolid leaves one injured

One person was injured Saturday after falling from a hot air balloon participating in a competition in Valladolid, Spain, which then crashed into a field and later fell into the Pisuerga River. The alert was received at 9:04 a.m. The balloon made a sudden descent, hitting farmland in Simancas, causing both occupants to fall. Emergency services, including police, Guardia Civil, and firefighters, responded to the scene. Medical assistance treated the injured person for severe hip pain. The balloon, empty of occupants, subsequently collapsed into the river near the Roman Bridge.
