Hong Kong parents share their journey adopting a child with a rare skin disease

Mui Thomas, a survivor of a rare genetic skin disorder, has had her story shared by her adoptive parents for the first time. Her parents, Rog and Sally Thomas, adopted Mui in 1992, defying medical advice that her condition, Harlequin ichthyosis, was fatal. Mui has since achieved significant personal milestones. Mui, now 33, is one of the world's oldest known survivors of Harlequin ichthyosis and has recently participated in athletic events, documented on her website.
