Home and Away star Jessica Redmayne has spoken out after her character Harper Matheson and sister Dana, played by Ally Harris, exited the Australian soap in scenes aired this week. Harper left Summer Bay with her son Archie and Dana following harassment from her abusive ex-boyfriend Beau. Despite Beau's arrest, Harper decided to start a new life elsewhere, knowing she would never feel safe in town. Redmayne told TV Week she was sad to leave under such circumstances but grateful for the role she played since 2023, calling the domestic violence storyline "very real and raw." Redmayne highlighted that domestic violence in Australian families is at an all-time high, making the story important to tell. She praised co-star Lynne McGranger and Ally Harris, saying she couldn't have done it without her on-screen sister.
