Holly Theatre in Oregon reopens after $13 million renovation
The Holly Theatre in Medford, Oregon, has reopened after a $13 million renovation. Originally built in 1930, the venue has been modernized while preserving its historic features, making it the largest indoor theater in southern Oregon. The theater now offers improved stage, sound, and seating for 1,008 people. It aims to attract performers traveling between Portland and San Francisco. The Piano Guys and Jim Belushi are among the first acts to perform at the newly renovated venue. The Holly Theatre was at risk of demolition but has been saved by community efforts and funding from the JPR Foundation. The restoration is expected to boost the local economy by an estimated $3.25 million annually.
