Historic Massa pastry shop Ariani reopens under new management

The historic pastry shop Ariani, originally founded in 1955, reopens today in Massa under new management by Gianfranco Ariani and Alessandro Pucci. The reopening follows the shop's closure during the pandemic, which was compounded by traffic changes and the shutdown of the old civic hospital. The new location is at Via Fratelli Rosselli 80, opposite the Parco degli Ulivi, in a space formerly occupied by the pastry shop Giannotti. The partners aim to offer traditional recipes passed down through the Ariani family, emphasizing an old-fashioned approach they believe guarantees quality. The shop opens today at 5 PM and will operate daily from 5 AM to 9 PM. The owners have already interviewed two potential assistants and plan to run the business using classic methods, with Pucci bringing experience from bars, restaurants, and pizzerias.
