Historic Bobby Mackey's music venue in Kentucky demolished after decades of operation

Bobby Mackey's Music World, known as "the most haunted nightclub in America," was demolished on Tuesday. The venue closed its Wilder location in March and is now operating temporarily in Florence, Kentucky. Bobby Mackey opened the club in 1978, featuring a mechanical bull and a storied history as a former slaughterhouse and speakeasy. The site was popular with ghost hunters, who reported paranormal activity. Mackey described the demolition as bittersweet but necessary. He plans to incorporate elements of the old building, including a "portal to hell," into the new location, where he aims to create new memories.
