Hiroshima City releases names of 52 atomic bomb victims with hair samples at memorial tower

Hiroshima City released the names of 52 individuals whose hair remains with their remains at the Atomic Bomb Survivor Memorial Tower. The memorial holds the remains of approximately 70,000 atomic bomb victims. City officials re-examined 813 sets of remains with identified names but no known relatives, confirming hair samples from 52 individuals. The city also corrected 43 errors found in the original burial registry, such as misspelled names and missing addresses, and hopes this will help reunite families with their loved ones' remains.
