High school students in Shiroishi, Miyagi, plant maple saplings to create a new scenic forest

Miyagi high school students planted maple saplings grown from seeds of over 100-year-old trees to create a new scenic spot. Four second-year students from Shiroishi High School planted 20 saplings at a historic inn as part of a project to cultivate a "Shiroishi Maple Forest." This is the second planting location, following a kindergarten, with the trees expected to grow significantly and display vibrant colors in autumn.
