After peaking last night, pollen counts remain elevated, particularly in the north central and north east regions. Melbourne Pollen reported that grass pollen levels reached extreme levels around 8 PM Saturday. Although they have slightly decreased, they are still within the extreme range this morning. As Victoria enters its peak grass pollen season, health officials advise those affected to prepare accordingly. There is also a warning for a high risk of thunderstorm asthma in East Gippsland.
