Herzog: antisemitism 'contaminates societies' as NYC hate crimes rise

Israeli President Isaac Herzog called antisemitism a “contamination of societies” as NYPD data show anti-Jewish incidents make up 56.9% of all New York City hate crimes in 2026. A J7 task force report found 20 diaspora deaths from antisemitic attacks in 2025, the deadliest since 1994, with incidents up sharply from 2022.
