"Hell Jumper" wins Banff's Grand Jury Prize
The BBC documentary "Hell Jumper," chronicling the life of a British aid worker killed in Ukraine, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Banff World Media Festival's Rockie Awards. The film also received the award for best social issues and current affairs program. Other winners included "The Day of the Jackal" for best English-language drama, "The Traitors UK" for best competition series, and "The Graham Norton Show" for best comedy and variety series. The festival also honored Stephan James with the Canadian Award of Distinction. The awards ceremony, which merged the Rockie Awards and Banff Gala Awards, also recognized Hans Zimmer with a Career Achievement Award and honored the late Carrie Hunter, the festival's founding director.
