Helicopter successfully landed on a moving train

In February, an Alaska Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopter successfully landed on a train during a special operations medical exercise. This rare maneuver involved a "pinnacle landing," where the helicopter's rear wheels remained in the air. The exercise, called Special Operation Forces Arctic Medic 2025, included various military and civilian teams. The helicopter delivered supplies and picked up a simulated patient while the train was stationary, then resumed movement for further training. The landing took place on a stretch of track near Fairbanks, Alaska. The crew highlighted their experience in cold weather and their ability to coordinate with different units during the exercise.
