Helicopter rescues paraglider from Champeaux cliffs, between Avranches and Granville

A 55-year-old paraglider was rescued by helicopter Wednesday, August 5, after becoming trapped on cliffs at Champeaux, France. He was uninjured. The accident occurred at the Champeaux launch site near the Corniche road around 9:45 p.m. About ten firefighters responded, and the Dragon 50 helicopter winched the man to a safe area. He was left at the scene. The incident took place at the paragliding spot in the South Manche region, between Avranches and Granville. Emergency services confirmed the man suffered no injuries during the ordeal.
