Heavy rain causes waterlogging in Hamirpur's Nadaun, homes and shops flooded

Heavy rainfall on Tuesday caused waterlogging in Nadaun, Hamirpur district, with water entering several shops and homes in the market, Bela village, and Gagal areas, disrupting daily life. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nishant Sharma inspected the affected areas and ordered relief and repair work. Following complaints, Sharma directed officials from NHAI, the Public Works Department, and the municipal council to improve drainage systems and ensure swift relief. Waterlogging also blocked a road near Bela's middle school, and a delegation of villagers met with the SDM to demand a solution. In nearby Kot village, authorities constructed a drain to prevent rainwater from a four-lane road from entering homes and businesses, resolving a long-standing issue. Local residents and Congress leaders thanked the SDM, Jal Shakti Department, and NHAI for their assistance.
