The rain overwhelmed local drains and canals, leading to flood warnings in several areas. Changi recorded 255.2mm of rain from January 10 to 11, exceeding the average monthly rainfall for January. The ongoing monsoon surge has resulted in continued rain across Singapore. PUB deployed quick response teams to assist residents by pumping water and distributing flood protection devices.
