Haryana government to settle hospital dues to ensure Ayushman Bharat services continue
The Haryana government plans to clear outstanding payments to private hospitals by February. This decision follows a warning from hospitals that they would stop treating patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme due to unpaid claims totaling Rs 400 crore. Officials confirmed that Rs 195 crore has already been paid for claims submitted since January 1. They assured that treatment under the scheme will continue without disruption, and an additional Rs 2,500 crore will be allocated for the next fiscal year. The Ayushman Bharat scheme, launched in 2018, provides free healthcare for low-income families. Approximately 1.2 crore people in Haryana are enrolled, relying on the scheme for essential medical services.
