Haryana CM proposes teaching Bhagavad Gita in government schools up to Class VIII
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has proposed that the Bhagavad Gita be made compulsory for students up to Class VIII in government schools. This suggestion was made during a review meeting with education officials. Saini emphasized the need to maintain the student-teacher ratio and ensure quality education. He stated that a plan is being developed to address teacher allocation based on student numbers. The CM also called for improvements in school facilities, including drinking water and cleanliness. He directed officials to expedite pending development works and monitor students' educational paths after Class XII.
