Harassment allegations emerge at IIIT Sonipat as police investigate professors
A woman employee at the Indian Institute of Information Technology in Sonipat has filed a police complaint against two professors for sexual harassment. She claims that after reporting the issue internally, no action was taken, prompting her to escalate the matter. Haryana State Commission for Women deputy chairperson Sonia Aggarwal visited the institute and met with the employee. She later summoned the accused professors for questioning, and local police are now involved in the investigation. Aggarwal stated that the case is being thoroughly investigated and assured that strict action will be taken in response to the allegations.
