Hadrian closed a funding round at nearly $8 billion valuation on Thursday, more than quadrupling its January value amid surging investor enthusiasm for defense technology. The round was led by Baillie Gifford, J.P. Morgan Strategic Investment Group, and Washington Harbor Partners. CEO Chris Power said proceeds will scale workforce, its Opus factory software, and address U.S. production challenges in submarines, munitions, and drones. The company builds advanced factories for defense and aerospace. Its Opus software is already used by Army and Navy. The funding follows Trump's $1.5 trillion defense plan; valuations also surged for Shield AI, Saronic, and Anduril.
