Hacker displays Doom on a vape using screen sharing

pcmag.com

A hacker has successfully run the classic video game Doom on a $30 vape. The device's screen was modified to display the game. The vape, an Aspire Pixo Kit, features a 1.5-inch color touchscreen and a CPU. Custom firmware was created to stream Doom from a PC to the vape's screen at approximately 6 frames per second. While Doom cannot run natively due to insufficient RAM, this project demonstrates the vape's potential as a secondary display. The hacker plans to explore native game execution in the future.
