Green Bay reviews $9.5 million plan to revitalize Joannes Park aquatic center

Green Bay is reviewing a $9.5 million master plan to revitalize Joannes Park and its Family Aquatic Center. The plan includes new features like a lazy river, surf rider station, and mini golf course, aimed at attracting more visitors. The current aquatic center has basic amenities, including water slides and volleyball courts. The proposed upgrades are expected to enhance the park's appeal and encourage more community use. A presentation on the master plan will be discussed at the Parks Committee meeting on Wednesday. Joannes Park, located next to East High School, covers 30 acres and has been a community space since the aquatic center opened in 1995.
