Nine Greek stocks will join the Stoxx Europe 600 index on September 21, marking Greece's reclassification from emerging to developed market status and opening access to major European capital inflows. The nine companies include four banks—National Bank, Eurobank, Piraeus, and Alpha Bank—plus Metlen Energy & Metals, PPC, GEK Terna, Motor Oil, and Jumbo. The four banks will also enter the Euro Stoxx Banks Index. JPMorgan analysts estimate inflows could exceed $1.1 billion. The Athens General Index has risen 186% since Greece regained investment grade in 2023, though it remains below its 2007 peak.
