Graz plans 11-kilometer tram line to improve western access

Graz plans an 11-kilometer tram line to connect its northwest and southwest, aiming to improve public transport access. The proposed Line 8 would run from Gösting to Straßgang, requiring significant new track construction. The city council will vote on planning approval on December 11. Initial cost estimates for the first phase are around 165 million euros, with construction potentially starting in 2030 and the first sections opening in 2033.
