Gorakhpur celebrates Janmashtami with devotion and joy

Gorakhpur celebrated Janmashtami with great fervor, marking the birth of Lord Krishna. Devotees began visiting temples from evening, and as midnight struck, conch shells and bells resounded across the city, filling the air with chants of "Jai Shri Krishna." Temples and homes erupted in celebration at the divine birth, with the entire city immersed in devotion and joy. Special events were organized at locations including Geeta Vatika, Golghar's Jalkal Bhawan, Betia Hata Hanuman Temple, ISKCON's Padri Bazaar, Art of Living's Taramandal, Police Lines, and the 26th Battalion PAC camp. Additionally, residents decorated their homes, streets, and neighborhoods with elaborate tableaux depicting scenes from Krishna's life. The festivities transformed the entire Gorakshnagari into an atmosphere of collective spiritual celebration and communal happiness.
