Goondas Act applied to two murder suspects in Mayiladuthurai

Two men have been arrested under the Goondas Act for the murder of Rafiq in Mayiladuthurai district. Rafiq was allegedly killed by his son, Mohammed Yusuf, and two friends using a sickle on September 20. Following an investigation, police arrested the suspects and placed them in judicial custody. The local Superintendent of Police recommended their detention under the Goondas Act, which was approved by the District Collector on November 28. This year, 45 individuals have been detained under the Goondas Act in Mayiladuthurai, covering various offenses including public disturbances and theft.
