Google Keep adds in-note search: how the new feature works

Google Keep is rolling out a new "Find in note" feature that lets users search for keywords within a single note, not across all notes. The update addresses a long-standing frustration for users of the note-taking app. The feature is accessed via the three-dot menu inside a note, where users can type a term and see all occurrences highlighted in the text. It differs from the existing global search, which scans the entire archive. The rollout has begun on version 5.26.301.00.90, though availability is gradual and not yet on all devices. The feature was previously spotted in the app's code months ago, then removed, and has now reappeared. Google is also working on a redesign of the bottom toolbar in notes, with reorganized icons and a new look for the "+" button.
