Google Calendar integrates full Google Tasks functionality for Android users

Google Calendar has begun rolling out full Google Tasks integration for Android users. This update allows users to access Google Tasks directly from the Calendar app, featuring a new icon in the top bar for easy navigation. The Tasks interface in Calendar mirrors the standalone app, maintaining a similar layout and functionality. Users can create tasks with dates through Calendar, while standalone tasks must be created in the Tasks view. Despite this integration, the standalone Google Tasks app remains available, as it includes features like the "List" widget not found in Calendar. There are no current plans to discontinue the separate app.
