Google Calendar for Android adds new Tasks view for streamlined to-do management

zdnet.com

Google Calendar for Android has introduced a new Tasks view, allowing users to manage their to-dos directly within the Calendar app. A new Tasks icon appears next to the profile image, enabling easy access to tasks without switching apps. This update integrates the Tasks app into Google Calendar, providing a full-screen task manager that resembles the original Tasks interface. Users can view, add, and complete tasks while remaining in the Calendar app. Currently, this feature is available only for Android users, with no timeline for iOS release. Users can remove the standalone Tasks app if they prefer, but those using the Tasks widget will need to keep it installed.
