Good Good fires three executives over violent ad backlash
American golf brand Good Good has fired three senior executives after backlash over an advert showing a woman being pushed to the ground. The dismissals follow widespread criticism that the video made light of violence against women. Chief executive Matt Kendrick and president Joe Flannery were sacked Wednesday, while vice-president of brand and marketing Jeffrey Lefkovits was dismissed earlier this week. The advert, created for golf club manufacturer Callaway, showed co-founder Garrett Clark pushing professional golfer Alexis Miestowski before shouting "Do not touch my new driver." Callaway ended its partnership with Good Good and donated $1 million to violence prevention organizations. Good Good has withdrawn from a PGA Tour event sponsorship, and its products have been pulled from some retailers. Board member Nahid Giga has been installed as interim CEO.
