Good Good fires executives over ad showing woman pushed to ground

American golf brand Good Good has fired three senior executives after backlash over an advert showing a woman being pushed to the ground. The dismissals follow widespread criticism that the video made light of violence against women. Chief executive Matt Kendrick and president Joe Flannery were removed Wednesday, while vice-president of brand and marketing Jeffrey Lefkovits was sacked earlier this week. Board member Nahid Giga has been installed as interim CEO, and the company called the day "difficult" for its staff. The advert, created for Callaway, showed co-founder Garrett Clark pushing professional golfer Alexis Miestowski before shouting "Do not touch my new driver." Callaway ended its partnership, donated $1 million to violence-prevention groups, and Good Good withdrew from a PGA Tour event sponsorship.
